About SCCI
Membership

SCCI membership offers a biblical foundation and personal benefits, with three types of members and a four-stage joining process. Members have responsibilities to uphold personal purity, pursue healthy relationships, contribute to the church, and seek to serve. Partnering members receive privileges like decision-making power and priority for facility usage. Joining SCCI is a valuable way to contribute to the church community and gain benefits.

Three types of members

1. Positional members – visitor
2. Participating member
3. Partnering member ( Fully committed to the vision of the church)

Four stages of becoming a member

1. Investigation- attend a membership class
2. Affirmation- respond to questions and evaluate whether membership is for you.
3. Confirmation- prospective member meets with a trained leader
4. Celebration – Introduced to the church

Four responsibilities
of every SCCI member

1. Personal purity: to bring to the church a submitted, spirit-filled self (John15:5)

2. Relational Integrity: to pursue respectable, honourable and caring relationships with family, co-workers, friends, neighbours and within the body of Christ (II Corinthians1:12; Romans 12:18)

3. Organizational loyalty: to contribute to the church one’s time, treasure and talents, and to be responsive to the leadership God has established and ordained in SCCI

4. Interpersonal maturity: to seek to serve more than to be served (John 13:12-15)

Privileges of membership

Partnering Members:

1. Have the right to influence key decisions of the church

2. Will receive priority for facility usage and leadership’s time (e.g. for weddings, funerals, and personal ministry).

3. Attend membership-only meetings regarding church matters

4. May be appointed t o leadership positions

5. Will be in the program of the church
